We are currently looking for a person for the position of:
BI Systems Specialist
Location: Rzeszów, Jelenia Góra, Warsaw
Your responsibilities will include:

- Administers and supports SQL Server and related database services to ensure high availability, performance, reliable backups, and secure access to BI solutions, databases, and interfaces.
- Maintains existing data integrations and interfaces, and designs and implements new data feeds between source systems, the data warehouse, and reporting layers.
- Develops, supports, and optimizes data warehouse processes and data models, and builds and maintains ETL/ELT pipelines, monitoring processes, and change controls in cooperation with corporate teams as needed.
- Develops and maintain BI components using T-SQL and Microsoft technologies, such as SQL Server Agent, SSIS, scripts, and stored procedures, as needed.
- Designs, builds, publishes, and maintains Power BI reports and semantic models/datasets, ensuring performance, data quality, and compliance with governance standards.
- Works closely with business users to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions, and supports development, testing/UAT, production deployment, and post-go-live activities.
- Monitors and resolves incidents related to BI operations, including data refreshes, ETL jobs, report availability, and access permissions, and performs root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborates with system, network, security, and application administrators to ensure the availability, performance, and secure operation of BI platforms across development, test, and production environments.
- Coordinates with external vendors and service providers to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to BI systems, applications, and integrations.
- Participates in BI and corporate initiatives, including standardization and continuous improvement activities, as well as other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
- Tests BI solutions and implements changes in accordance with company procedures, including change management, approvals, version control, and release documentation.
- Maintains functional and technical documentation for BI solutions, including data models, ETL mappings, refresh schedules, access roles, and report or catalog descriptions.
- Provides end-user support for BI solutions, including Power BI reports, datasets, and related applications, and handles service requests in accordance with agreed support processes.
- Prepares status reports and summaries on BI projects, tasks, incidents, and ongoing work for the requested period, at the request of the supervisor or other authorized persons.
What we require:
- A university degree or equivalent higher education qualification.
- A good command of spoken and written English.
- Hands-on experience working with databases, SQL, and ETL processes.
- Experience designing Power BI reports.
- Experience with Python scripting.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- The ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, work conditions, and business needs.
