The Associate Director, HEOR/RWE will be responsible for:
- Lead design and execution of RWE/HEOR studies ensuring methodological rigor and other activities to assess, quantify and communicate the value proposition of Bausch Health products.
- Lead the design and execution of systematic literature reviews to generate high-quality evidence informing HTA submissions, and reimbursement strategies. Establish rigorous methodologies for literature search, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and data extraction, ensuring robust evidence synthesis to support strategic decision-making.
- Co-lead with Medical Information the development of Value Dossiers (AMCP & Global Value dossiers) for Bausch Health products, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals including clinical, scientific, and economic data to support market access and reimbursement negotiations in the US and global markets.
- Develop and adapt of Cost-Effectiveness Analysis (CEA) and budget impact (BIM) models for Bausch Health therapies. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with global pricing and market access strategies.
- Develop and present HEOR evidence to internal executives, external stakeholders, payers, and HTA bodies to drive alignment on the value proposition of Bausch Health therapies.
- Provide scientific input into clinical trial design (as needed), emphasizing the incorporation of relevant health economic and patient-reported outcome measures.
- Lead the development of high-quality publications, posters, and presentations of RWE/HEOR study findings while ensuring timely dissemination of HEOR publications through appropriate channels, including working with medical affairs, market access, and marketing teams to package HEOR evidence for field facing teams.
- Keep abreast of the therapeutic area, HEOR, and health policy trends in the US and Global, collaborating with the cross-functional team to address strategic objectives in anticipation of these trends.
- Demonstrate strong leadership in cross-functional and cross-regional teams, fostering a high-performance culture and influencing senior stakeholders with data-driven insights.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree (PhD or PharmD, or MD) preferred in related field and experience conducting HEOR research (Related fields include: Public Health-Health Policy & Management/Health Services Research/Epidemiology/Outcomes Research/Health Economics, Economics/Econometrics, Psychometrics, Statistics/Biostatistics, Pharmacoeconomics/Pharmacy Administration)
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical/ biotechnology/ academic/ governmental agency OR a Master's degree in Health Economics, Epidemiology, or related field, and at least 7 years of such relevant experience
- A pharmacy/medicine/clinical background is preferred.
- A solid understanding of RWE research designs, CEA/BIM models, "Fit-for-purpose" RWD and Patient Reported Outcomes (PRO), with ability to critically evaluate and improve study design and data sources used across various type of RWE/HEOR research
- A track record of peer-reviewed scientific publications demonstrating expertise in HEOR
- Good knowledge of health care systems and health technology assessment, guidelines and processes in relevant countries
- Ability to understand assigned therapy areas, and appropriately plan and deliver HEOR value evidence and payer/HTA tools for specific assets
- Experience in developing and communicating Pre-Approval Information Exchange (PIE) materials with payers and/or population health decision makers
- Serve as subject matter expert for cross-functional teams in RWE/HEOR
The range of starting base pay for this role is 177K - 242K. Actual starting pay will be based on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, qualifications, education and location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for participation in either (i) our annual bonus program or (ii) a sales incentive plan.
