Through depth and breadth of customer and industry knowledge, the Director, National Accounts will be responsible for the development and ongoing management of strategy and tactical execution of the Bausch Health wholesale & retail customer relationships in alignment with Trade Leadership. This encompasses the development and maintenance of relationships required to drive Bausch Health’s strategic business position with key channel partners and corporate accounts for current and future portfolio.
 
Responsibilities
 
•    Successfully apply sophisticated tenants of large account management skills to develop and maintain a high level of rapport, credibility and trust with key decision makers creating a foundation to enhance current and future business opportunities.
•    Responsible for the development of strategic business plans to ensure product access through direct and indirect channels maintaining the network of distributors and pharmacies and advancing operational efficiency within the supply chain.
•    Execute tactical business imperatives to ensure product access through the development, execution and ongoing support of Product Delivery/Dispensing Models and innovative services arrangements with channel partners.
•    Collaborate with internal partners (such as but not limited to finance, customer service, supply chain, brand leadership) on weekly wholesale and downstream inventory demand, replenishment and forecasting activities, and execute on quarterly DOH metrics to ensure product availability.
•    Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to determine and bring forward innovative channel-specific distribution models including the selection of distributors and other service providers, pharmacy, or site-of-care networks. 
•    Maintain a strong working knowledge of how product flows through the healthcare system today and in the future and its implication to business opportunities through deep account penetration.
•    Maintain subject matter expertise in wholesale and pharmacy channels with the purpose of growing the organizational acumen to lead strategic initiatives.
•    Negotiate Distribution Purchase and Service Agreements for product access and distribution services through Distributors full-line wholesale or specialty distribution divisions.
•    Build strong-networked relationships with all customers including Trade Organizations, Professional Organizations, and other influential groups specific to the market segment.
•    Lead event driven triage with internal/external coordination of solutions and channel market communications (i.e., product launches, pricing updates, divestitures, discontinuations, recalls, brand security issues, etc.).
•    Maintain a strong knowledge and ethical standard regarding healthcare laws and regulations with timely execution of all internal compliance training.
•    Develop and utilize enhanced analytics to generate insights and provide oversight to use for wholesale and downstream pipeline review and management, responding to customer inquiries from field sales, account management teams and external channel customers.
•    This role will be field based and require 50% travel and a quarterly minimum home office presence.  
 
 
Qualifications
 
•    Minimum of 10 years’ experience in pharmaceutical and/or health care sales.
•    Minimum 3 years’ experience as National Account Manager
•    Experience with various account types (HMO, PBM, GPO, Mail Service, VA/DOD, Drug Stores).
•    Experienced in customer negotiation, financial analysis, legal influences, and execution/ implementation of contracting activities.
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills, with strong organizational habits.
•    Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
•    BA/BS degree Business and/or Sciences
•    MBA or advanced Degree highly preferred

 

The range of starting base pay for this role is 173,962 - 239,197 .  Actual starting pay will be based on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, qualifications, education and location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for participation in either (i) our annual bonus program or (ii) a sales incentive plan.
