The District Manager, Inside Sales (DM) will be responsible for the daily supervision of the Salix Inside Sales Team. This will include coaching for improved performance and monitoring the sales activity. The DM will be accountable for a group of Inside Sales Representatives who make product presentations to achieve product awareness, educate the market and generate prescriptions.    

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Priority responsibility to develop inside sales representatives within HQ (3-4 days per week in HQ – remaining days remote) to grow in competencies over time to a point of readiness for promotion to field-based role.
  • Daily responsibilities include observing each Inside Sales Representative’s virtual sales presentations to health care providers on a regular basis and provide feedback on these observed observations.
  • Complete field coaching reports after each time observing representative in HQ as they conduct virtual presentations or if in field, completed following field travel day.
  • Development and maintenance of effective business plans for sales representatives.
  • Ensure teamwork across all stakeholders for the brand (i.e., MSL, marketing, other field counterparts). Coach group to make effective sales presentations by offering examples that will improve performance and hold each representative accountable for achieving performance goals.
  • Plan and conduct effective sales meetings, when appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance of Company policies and expectations.
  • Work with representatives to share success stories and best practices with the region.
  • Monitor data analytics information to ensure full utilization for maximum impact on prescribing physicians. Implement and manage incentive programs as a motivating factor for Sales Representatives. Identify high performing representatives for recognition and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate and communicate with Marketing and Sales Administration on literature requests, supplies, relevant data maintenance, and support issues.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum 3 years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience is required.
  • Experience managing sales representatives and/or developing talent is preferred.
  • A demonstrated track record of success is required.
  • Strong leadership, team building, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with a track record of building strong teams.
  • Product launch experience preferred. Must consistently demonstrate sound judgment and strategic decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to interpret and utilize business data to drive positive business results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, self-awareness and ability to build business relationships.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral.
  • The DM must be able to deliver presentations verbally and physically be able to perform all job duties which include: Performing other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time. 

 

The range of starting base pay for this role is $125,000 – $160,000.  Actual starting pay will be based on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, qualifications, education and location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for participation in either (i) our annual bonus program or (ii) a sales incentive plan.
