Reporting to the Director, Commercial Learning & Development, the Manager, Sales Training leads sales enablement for the Pain Business Unit—designing and delivering training that improves representative capability, accelerates onboarding, and drives measurable field performance.
Position Description (Sales Training & Enablement):
- Partner with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Medical/Regulatory, and Operations to diagnose performance gaps and define sales capability priorities.
- Design and deliver onboarding and ongoing curricula (product, disease state, selling skills, account planning, and compliance) aligned to brand strategy and field expectations.
- Develop and facilitate high-impact learning experiences for National Sales Meetings and other commercial meetings (workshops, role-plays, simulations, and certification).
- Co-travel with new and tenured representatives to observe customer interactions, provide coaching, and reinforce core selling behaviors and product messaging.
- Create practical tools that support execution in the field (conversation guides, objection handling, call models, pre-call planning templates, and manager coaching guides).
- Build and maintain measurement and sustainment plans (pre/post assessments, skill validation, field reinforcement, and KPI linkage) to demonstrate training impact.
- Coach, develop, and leverage field-based territory managers to execute onboarding and new-hire programs consistently across the field.
- Continuously improve learning approaches, modalities, and processes (virtual/in-person, microlearning, reinforcement) to increase efficiency and learner adoption.
- Maintain expertise in assigned promoted and competitive products, including key clinical data, positioning, and compliant messaging.
Qualifications (Sales Training & Enablement):
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years in industry as a sales professional and/or at least 2 years with Bausch Health.
- Previous sales training experience (corporate and/or field-based) preferred; ability to translate business needs into practical learning solutions.
- Demonstrated facilitation skills, including leading role-plays, delivering feedback, and coaching to observable behavior change.
- Ability to analyze performance gaps and use data/insights to design training interventions that drive measurable results.
- Strong stakeholder partnership skills; comfortable collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and cross-functional partners.
- Strong project management skills required, including planning, execution, and on-time delivery across multiple initiatives.
- Excellent verbal, listening, written communication, and training content development skills.
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to influence, coach, and serve as a role model/mentor to new and tenured representatives.
- Pain experience preferred.
- Willingness to roll up sleeves within a small team and wear multiple hats; proactive, self-motivated, and self-directed.
- Up to 30% field time required.
- Geographic location: Bridgewater, NJ or remote with 50% of time spent in Bridgewater, NJ.
The range of starting base pay for this role is 120K-165K. Actual starting pay will be based on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, qualifications, education and location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for participation in either (i) our annual bonus program or (ii) a sales incentive plan.
