The Senior Manager – Salesforce Architect is responsible for identifying, defining, and driving functional and technical strategy and solutions to support complex business process and enterprise architecture requirements within Commercial space at Bausch Health. The incumbent will be expected to work with a cross-functional group both from the products and business units to work on solutions that span the customer’s lifecycle across product lines. This role will serve as the Global Business Relationship Manager for business units and departments where processes are being supported by Salesforce capabilities, while also overseeing daily Salesforce operations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall architectural direction of Salesforce Platform for Global Sales, Marketing, and Services.
- Maintain the scalability and reliability of Salesforce ecosystem, addressing technical challenges and optimizing system performance.
- Develop a detailed Salesforce roadmap and design scalable solutions. This includes both managed and unmanaged packages, custom applications, integrations, and handling data migrations. Ensure these solutions align with business and IT strategies and meet both current and future needs.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to prioritize and translate demands into technical specifications, ensuring adherence to enterprise architecture standards. Manage demand requests, maintain the roadmap, identify dependencies, and assist in budgetary and capacity planning.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to influence their processes in alignment with industry standard guidelines and advocate for optimizing business processes. Additionally, present potential solutions to business leaders to secure their buy-in and negotiate feature functions that are viable solutions.
- Collaborate with application architects to pinpoint key integration areas with ERP and other corporate applications. Foster inter-dependencies and synergies across platforms on the roadmap.
- Promote the use of industry accelerators and assets to enhance differentiation and delivery excellence.
- Drive standardization within commercial teams by defining common patterns, governance and best practices in the areas of integration, data management and operations.
- Work with the development team to ensure technical requirements and design are understood, best practices are followed for functionality, performance and security. Ensure solutions align with the roadmap for Sales, Service and Marketing domains.
- Manage salesforce managed services team and salesforce vendors relationship.
- Oversee third party vendor design, build, & testing adheres to strategy & standards.
- This role will work hybrid work schedule, 3 days in the Bridgewater, NJ office and 2 days remote.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of experience in global software development and deployment.
- 5+ years of experience delivering applications on Salesforce preferably in life sciences or the consumer industry.
- 3-4 years of experience in managing cross functional teams in an IT setting for both Waterfall and Agile/SCRUM projects.
Desirable Professional Skills:
- Must have Life Sciences experience in Commercial domain.
- Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Agentforce, APEX, Visualforce, ServiceMax.
- Experience in working with data ingestion and data warehousing on an AWS cloud platform.
- Experience in data reporting and dashboards in Microsoft PowerBI in cooperation with business users.
- Experience in development of Interfaces/Integration with Salesforce platform using API’s, Web Services and ETL (Informatica, MuleSoft).
- Background with architecture concepts (integration styles, architecture styles, patterns).
- Good understanding of customer journey experience and analytics.
- Proven ability to manage and resolve complex and ambiguous technical issues.
- Creativity & critical thinking.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple initiatives and conflicting priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to articulate value proposition.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
As required by law, Bausch Health provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in the US. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For this role, the range of starting pay for this role is $147k - $185K annually.
