This position entails collaborating with a diverse range of cross-functional stakeholders within the Bausch Health Commercial organization to generate insights and develop strategic opportunities related to patient access to our pharmaceutical products. The stakeholder group includes the U.S. Market Access team (both Home Office & Field based), Marketing, Finance, Sales Planning, and Information Management. The ideal candidate should possess strong business acumen, robust analytical skills, and excellent stakeholder management and collaboration abilities. This role reports directly to the Director of Market Access Analytics within Bausch Health's Commercial Insights, Analytics & Operations department. 

  

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Provides market insights across all therapeutic areas by utilizing knowledge of the Market Access landscape, PlanTrak data, Patient Claims data, and Formulary data. 
  • Conducts analytics in Market Access space across BUs (e.g., market share vs. relative access, access-driven performance 
  • Identifies market access trends / shifts, develops perspectives on payer behaviors, and analyzes prescriber plans, preferred positioning and market share 
  • Coordinates with other Market Access Analytics team members 
  • Assists in developing strategies for the market access account team and field reimbursement management team 
  • Analyze and report on formulary changes to measure effectiveness of such events 

  

Requirements: 

 

  • 8 years of experience required for bachelor’s degree or 6 years of experience required for master’s degree (or higher)
  • Extensive knowledge of various industry data sources such as: IQVIA Rx and Claims data (xPonent,  PlanTrak, FIA/LAAD) or Symphony Rx and Claims data (Prescriber, Prescriber/Payer, PHAST) + MMIT or Fingertip Formulary Data 

  

Education requirements: 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Statistics, data science, math and/or business discipline preferred. Graduate Degree preferred. 

  

Technical Skills requirements: 

 

  • Proficiency in Python, SAS, SQL, Excel, PowerPoint, and other analytical + reporting tools 

  

Knowledge & Skills: 

 

  • Experience with Pharmaceutical Benefit Managers, Consulting, or Health Insurance companies is a plus. 
  • Strong analytical and technical skills of examining large datasets to extract insights, develop models, and forecast future business trends. 
  • Proficient in pharmaceutical data and adept with data visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau. 
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage projects effectively. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation abilities, with a capacity to work both independently and collaboratively. 
  • Skilled in verbal and written communication 

 

 

As required by law, Bausch Health provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in the US. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For this role, the range of starting pay for this role is 145K – 165K annually.
