Position:         Supervisor, Manufacturing                                                  

Department:    Production/Packaging

Shift:                Monday - Friday 7:30 - 16:00 (Flexibility required for rotation shift based on business needs 06:30 - 15:00 and 14:30 - 23:00 )


Reporting to the Manager of Manufacturing, you will be responsible for the supervision of manufacturing employees and ensuring productivity quotas are met within a safe environment, while complying with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and other regulatory requirements.


Responsibilities

 

  • Provide the necessary planning, organization, and coordination of manufacturing activities to effectively drive packagin/NHP operations.
  • Assist in the development and planning of all long-term packaging/NHP processes and schedules.
  • Lead, develop and coach your team to high performance levels.
  • Address performance problems and issues promptly and recognize individual and team successes.
  • Provide job specific training to manufacturing employees, verify training records are up to date and accurate, and ensure all training requirements are compliant with cGMP and Safety regulations.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to manufacturing operators to ensure the effective and timely troubleshooting of processes and equipment.
  • Assist and support the development of continuous improvement strategies and cost reduction measures.
  • Assist in the investigation process.

 

Qualifications

 

Education/Experience: 

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical, food or regulated manufacturing industry is required.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a directly related field is preferred.
  • A combination of education and experience will also be considered.

 

Knowledge: 

  • Working knowledge of the associated regulations that govern the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP documentation.

  • Planning and organizational skills with high process-orientation. 
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes and to redirect priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Solid verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to supervise with a “Safety First” attitude.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP/GLIMS literacy is an asset).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle changing priorities
  • Keen attention to detail.
