The Director, Dentistry Marketing will report to VP, GM, Dentistry.  This leadership role will be responsible for determining the strategy and leading the promotional execution of two dentistry assets (pharmaceutical and medical device) and will have dedicated direct reports.

 

It will be critical that this commercial leader fully understand how to navigate a buy-and-bill environment as well as significant experience in direct to provider and direct to patient promotion.   Specific experience in managing volume-based pricing programs as well as strong field collaboration is critical.  This strong commercial leader will be expected to bring a vision and a plan to offer better solutions for the all-dentistry professionals and patients and will be required to engage with and inspire a cross-functional team to deliver on the key strategic imperatives.  

 

This position has a broad functional responsibility and high visibility to executive level decision makers.  The candidate must align cross-organizational teams, as well as associate and connect data points to one another. The ideal candidate must have excellent internal communications skills and is collaborative, organized, agile, visionary, and work in a fast-paced results focused environment.

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

 

  • Develop, lead and bring to life a brand strategies by working with our internal and external teams and agencies to identify strategic imperatives and supporting tactics
  • Lead the development of strategic marketing plans informed by customer and market insights
  • Lead the execution of all patient services to support access
  • Identify opportunities to address increased utilization amongst the DSO and private practice customers
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team, including Medical, R&D, Sales, Sales Leadership, Trade, Finance, Operations, PR, etc.
  • Track market trends by working closely with analytics to derive competitive strategy and differentiation within a competitive market
  • Inform product training and execution
  • Plan, execute and measure all non-personal digital tactics
  • Look for opportunities to increase and raise visibility of brand internally and externally
  • Engage with KOLs within dentistry and inform professional strategy efforts
  • Lead annual planning process, to develop and deliver on a strong brand vision
  • Drive re-balancing of investment priorities to meet market opportunities or unexpected needs

 

Desired Skills and Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field. MBA/Masters preferred.
  • 10+ years of Pharmaceutical or Medical Device marketing experience required
  • Experience with brand strategy/positioning/planning, product commercialization required
  • Ability to lead within a complex matrix organization required
  • Leading marketing personnel is required
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or medical device buy and bill is preferred

 

The range of starting base pay for this role is 180K-246K.  Actual starting pay will be based on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, qualifications, education and location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for participation in either (i) our annual bonus program or (ii) a sales incentive plan.  This position requires 3 days per week in our Bridgewater, NJ office.
