Job Description
Position Title: Contractor, Validation – Engineering
Reports to: Specialist, Validation – Engineering
Number of Direct Reports: 0
1. Primary Responsibilities
The role of the Validation Contractor is to prepare qualification documentation for:
• New equipment
• Existing equipment undergoing modifications
• Utility systems (HVAC, compressed air, purified water, BMS, etc.)
The role also includes:
• Coordinating and executing tests described in the protocols, and coordinating required corrective actions with other departments
• Preparing and maintaining all documentation related to equipment qualification
• Providing technical expertise on all aspects related to qualification
2. Management Responsibilities
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
3. Key Working Relationships (Internal / External)
Internal Partners: Production, Engineering Projects, HSE, Quality, Procurement
External Partners: Service providers and contractors involved in projects
4. Required Knowledge and Skills
a) Education
Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering
b) Languages
French and English
c) Experience and Specific Knowledge
• 5 years of experience in validation
• Knowledge of Canadian and American standards
• Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
d) Specific Technical Skills
• Automation / Industrial IT
• Energy and utility systems (air, water, etc.)
• HSE
• GMP
• Regulations and equipment
