We are seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Manager (AWS & AWS Data Lake) to manage and optimize our AWS-based cloud infrastructure, with a focus on data services, analytics, and integration with Azure environments. This role will ensure the stability, security, and cost efficiency of AWS workloads while managing the infrastructure MSP to deliver operational excellence. The position will also collaborate closely with the business to align platform capabilities with organizational needs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Platform Management

  • Manage AWS workloads, including compute, storage, networking, and data services.
  • Oversee AWS Data Lake architecture, ensuring data governance, quality, and accessibility.
  • Integrate AWS services with Azure workloads and enterprise systems.
  • Optimize platform performance and costs through monitoring and automation.

 

MSP Oversight & Stabilization

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for MSP-delivered AWS services.
  • Monitor MSP adherence to SLAs and governance standards.
  • Drive stabilization projects to improve uptime, reduce incidents, and enhance service delivery.

 

Best Practices & Governance

  • Establish AWS governance policies for security, tagging, cost management, and access control.
  • Standardize provisioning, monitoring, and backup strategies.
  • Maintain compliance with data privacy and industry regulations.

 

Business Collaboration

  • Work with business teams to understand data and analytics requirements.
  • Translate business needs into scalable, secure AWS solutions.
  • Provide performance, security, and cost reports to stakeholders.

 

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years managing AWS environments (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Strong experience with AWS Data Lake, analytics services, and data integration.
  • Proven ability to manage MSP relationships and drive service improvements.
  • Excellent communication, vendor management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Azure and hybrid cloud integrations is a plus.
  • French and English spoken.

 

Preferred Certifications:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional
  • AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty
  • ITIL Foundation

This position is based at the Laval head office with an hybrid schedule (3 days at the office - 2 days from home)
