General Responsibilities
Provide Human Resource leadership in areas such as manpower planning, recruitment activities, retention, performance management, employee development, disability management, and compensation planning in support of Laval Manufacturing site objectives. As a participative and proactive leader, identify priorities, and recommend appropriate people management solutions supporting site needs while ensuring customer-focused service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, and develop Human Resources departmental strategies in alignment with site, the Canadian RH objectives and the Corporate objectives.
- Plan, develop, and manage key Human Resources initiatives including attraction and retention strategies, recruitment and workforce planning, disability management, performance management, management coaching, and change management.
- Manage workforce planning activities across the site including needs analysis, resource allocation, and annual headcount budgeting process.
- Work closely with all site leaders and employees providing HR expertise and counsel on the interpretation and application of Bausch Health’s policies and programs.
- Establish guidelines and best practices regarding Human Resources KPIs and monitor them on a quarterly basis while ensure data accuracy and integrity across employee records & generate reports and analytics to support decision-making with leaders.
- Manage and execute annual performance process including calibration, coordination of salary increases and bonus planning with leaders while ensuring the system is effectively applied and managed.
- Comply with ethical, professional, privacy, and legal requirements based on Bausch Health’s policies and procedures, as well as Federal and Provincial legislative regulations.

Education & requirements:
- Education: University degree (B.Sc. or B.A.A.) in Human Resources or Industrial relations
- Experience: minimum of 5-7 years’ experience as a Manager, HR
- Specialized Training: expertise in EHS, employees’ benefits, labor laws
- Managerial Competencies: change agent, business acumen, managing diversity, managerial courage, problem solving, verbal & written communication, sense of urgency, at ease in a very fast evolving environment, rigor in data management, understanding of a matrix organization
- Interpersonal Skills/Competencies: team player, accountability, agility, autonomy, perseverance, interpersonal savvy, ethics & values, flexibility, organizational skills,
- Other: Human Resources professional designation; Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP)
