What a Packaging Operator Does at Bausch:

Under the supervision of the Packaging Supervisor, the incumbent performs packaging operations according to precise instructions in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), procedures, and safety guidelines.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operates and supplies packaging lines according to procedures
  • Follows production steps and completes documentation
  • Inspects/monitors quality and reports deviations
  • Regularly inspects products as required
  • Maintains equipment and workstations according to GMP and HSE standards
  • Actively participates in team efforts and assists the team as needed
  • Checks the condition of equipment and ensures proper use
  • Adheres to production and training standards (TRS, productivity, yields)
  • Assembles and cleans equipment and rooms
  • Completes batch records and packaging documentation
  • Complies with GMP and HSE standards and reports issues
  • Proposes improvements and better ways of working

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum Secondary School Diploma V or equivalent, DEP or DEC
  • 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a related field as an employee or operator
  • Technical knowledge of processes/products and production tools
  • Computer skills
