Under the supervision of the Technical Supervisor, Packaging, the position holder is responsible for assembling, adjusting, and operating various machines within the Packaging Department.
They ensure equipment is maintained in optimal operating condition.
They are accountable for performing their duties in compliance with GMP and HSE standards.
Main Responsibilities
Batch Production
Assembles/disassembles and operates equipment in accordance with current procedures and instructions.
Diligently completes in-process production documentation.
Ensures daily that machines are in good working condition.
Verifies that each piece of equipment is operating properly and makes adjustments as needed.
Collaborates with operators and team leaders to adhere to the production schedule.
Responsible for completing required documentation in case of deviations.
Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment performance.
Works as part of a team to resolve equipment issues.
May perform preventive maintenance according to the established schedule.
May contribute to drafting and revising procedures and operation manuals.
May participate in equipment or process improvement teams.
Ensures adherence to production steps as outlined in the Manufacturing Control File (MCF).
Performs any other related tasks as requested by the supervisor.
Responsible for maintaining technical qualifications and up-to-date knowledge of current methods and procedures.
Equipment and Materials
Responsible for proper functioning and compliance of equipment and premises.
Maintains a clean and compliant workstation and equipment, in line with GMP and HSE standards.
Ensures proper use of equipment.
Reports problems to the team leader/manager.
Adheres to production standards (OEE, Productivity, Yield).
May clean equipment and facilities.
Ensures all instructions are followed.
May verify, complete, and forward batch records and packaging documents.
Takes necessary measures to protect people, property, and products in case of an incident.
May input data into production management systems.
GMP and HSE Compliance
Performs work in compliance with current GMP and HSE standards, policies, and procedures.
Applies HSE guidelines, procedures, and instructions daily.
Responsible for reporting any quality or HSE event to their manager.
Escalates issues and suggests improvements.
Performs any other related tasks as requested by the supervisor.
Key Professional Relationships (Internal / External)
Internal Relationships: Packaging, Manufacturing, Receiving, Warehouse, HSE, Engineering, and Quality personnel
Required Knowledge and Skills
Minimum: High school diploma plus a vocational diploma (DEP) with relevant experience, or a college diploma (DEC) in mechanics.
French (Reading and Speaking)
Minimum 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a related field as an set-up operator.
