Job Summary :
Under the direction of their supervisor, performs weighing, washes, assembles, and operates the machinery required for manufacturing. They manufacture products from precise instructions in compliance with good manufacturing practices, procedures, and safety instructions.
Main responsibilities :
Batch production
- Performs the weighing of ingredients used in the manufacturing of products while respecting the procedures in place.
- Adequately uses the barcode tool.
- Ensures the assembly/disassembly and operation of equipment according to the procedures and instructions in force.
- Diligently completes documentation during production.
- Ensures daily that the machines are in good working condition.
- Ensures that each piece of equipment operates adequately and performs adjustments if necessary.
- Collaborates with operators and the team leader to ensure the production schedule is respected.
- Is responsible for (guarantees) completing the necessary documentation during deviations.
- Participates in continuous improvement to optimize equipment operation.
- Works in a team to solve equipment operation problems.
- May perform preventive maintenance according to the established schedule.
- May participate in the development and revision of procedures and operation manuals.
- May participate in equipment and process improvement teams.
- Ensures that production steps are followed as specified in the FMF (Master Manufacturing Formula).
- Performs any other related task at the request of their supervisor.
- Is responsible for maintaining their technical qualifications and their knowledge of the methods and procedures in force.
- Understands and analyzes the variation charts of their process and takes the necessary corrective measures.
- Regularly performs inspections on the machines used.
- Maintains the cleanliness of their workstation as well as that of the machines and accessories used.
- Participates in training courses related to their work, at the request of their manager.
Equipment and materials

Is responsible for the good working condition and compliance of equipment and premises.

Ensures the maintenance of their workstation and equipment—clean and according to BPF (GMP) and HSE standards.

Ensures compliant use of equipment.

Informs the team leader/manager when problems are encountered.

Respects production standards (TRS, Productivity, Yields).

May perform the washing of equipment and premises.

Ensures instructions are respected.

May verify, complete, and transmit batch files and manufacturing documents.

Takes the necessary measures to preserve the integrity of persons, property, and products in the event of an anomaly.

May ensure entries into production management systems.
GMP and HSE
- Performs their work in respect of the BPF and HSE standards, policies, and procedures in force.
- Applies the HSE directives, procedures, and instructions daily.
- Is responsible for declaring any quality/HSE event to their manager.
- Escalates problems and proposes improvements.
Requirements and skills :
Education
- Secondary V or equivalent, DEP or DEC in mechanics or electro-mechanics.
Languages

French and English an asset.
Experience and specific knowledge

Minimum 3 years of experience within a pharmaceutical industry or related field as a setup-operator.
Specific Technical Skills
- Technical knowledge of processes/products.
- Knowledge of production tools.

The range of starting base pay for this role is 51,000 – 67,000k. Actual starting pay will be based on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, qualifications, education and location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for participation in either (i) our annual bonus program or (ii) a sales incentive plan.
