Facilities Technician (Petaluma, CA)

We are looking for a Facilities and Materials Management Technician to help oversee, process, and maintain our inventory of materials and supplies. This position will play a key role in helping to process cGMP material, maintain inventory control, and conduct supply chain operations within our organization. The person will be responsible for shipping and receiving activities and will be required to obtain their IATA Dangerous Goods Certification within their first year. Additionally, this position will focus on maintaining the facility and overseeing preventative maintenance tasks, facility related activities and general repair work. They will assist in cGMP compliance activities as it relates to equipment and the facility.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain essential GMP materials management functions and support critical facility related responsibilities. 
• Activities related to the receipt and lifecycle management of GMP materials.
• Assist with critical maintenance and compliance operations required to sustain oral dosage manufacturing suites.
• Facilitate planning, implementation, and maintenance of materials management processes and procedures.
• Support general maintenance activities and facilitate repairs when necessary.
• Process receipts for all incoming materials both cGMP and non-GMP, as well as reconcile and process invoices into SAP.                  
• Help to maintain building security and safety and other duties as required.
• Prepare shipments and perform shipping related activities using FedEx Ship Manager software.
• Load and unload trucks with the use of equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Four years of warehousing and/or facilities experience; two years of experience in a cGMP environment preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Safety minded in performance of duties.
• Ability to work in accordance with written procedures.
• Effectively communicates with Supervisor and team members.

• Quality minded with ability to perform work with accuracy and in accordance with established procedures.

• Organized and able to perform duties in a timely manner.

• Must be able to accurately count large quantities of discrete units.
• Customer service oriented.

Physical Requirements:

• Vision must be suitable for performing detailed operations.
• May be required to move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• May be required to stand for long periods of time.
• Individual is required to wear and use appropriate protective equipment.
• Must be able to work with standard laboratory chemicals under normal safety precautions.

• Must be able to work with computers and general processing equipment.
• Must be able to operate a forklift.

As required by law, Bausch Health provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in the US. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For this role, the range of starting pay is $27.88 to $30.28 per hour.
