The Director, Medical Affairs, will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing medical strategies that align with the overarching commercial objectives to support Solta business. This role involves close collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of medical and promotional initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure effective input for promotional review committees.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support the dermatology business, including Commercial, Clinical Development, Medical Information, Field Medical, Professional Relations, Strategic Accounts, and Sales.
- Compile and integrate insights from Commercial, KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders), field MSL (Medical Science Liaison) team, advocacy groups, and clinical development to develop a cohesive medical strategy.
- Align medical strategy plans with commercial strategies and execute the publication of conference presentations, posters, and publications.
- Develop strategies for KOL authorship of publications and abstracts, approval of field medical slides, dissemination of publications, and execution of advisory boards, Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS), and Continuing Medical Education (CME) grants.
- Determine the annual budget and manage projects to align with financial and company needs, including vendors, CME, IIS, consulting agreements, HEOR/RWE projects, slide development, and publications.
- Build and develop relationships with KOLs for authorship on publications, participation in clinical trials/IISs, or insights on disease states, competitors, or products.
- Learn and develop strategies for new products developed or acquired in the Solta Medical portfolio.
- Support and review PRC pieces.
Qualifications:
- Degree of Nursing, MD, PharmD, PhD, NP or PA
- At least 10 years of industrial experiences
- Proven experience in medical affairs within medical device industry.
- Strong understanding of clinical development and commercialization processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with budget management and financial planning.
As required by law, Bausch Health provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in the US. Actual compensation is influenced by many factors including skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For this role, the range of starting pay for this role is $190k - $240k.
