We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Architect Manager to design, implement, and maintain cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure. This role involves managing cloud architect initiatives, storage, networking, ERP, databases, analytics, governance, and migrations. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure services, with a focus on performance optimization, security, and cost management.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of cloud architecture initiatives, ensuring timely delivery across cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable cloud solutions.
  • Architect secure, high-availability, and cost-optimized cloud environments.
  • Define and manage the cloud technology roadmap, aligning with enterprise IT strategies and project priorities.
  • Coordinate task assignments, manage dependencies, and monitor progress to ensure successful implementation of cloud infrastructure.
  • Design and deploy cloud-native solutions across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms using best practices and the Well-Architected Framework.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates to automate environment provisioning.
  • Integrate DevOps pipelines and CI/CD practices to streamline application deployment and operations.
  • Ensure compliance with cloud governance, security, and cost management frameworks using tools like Azure Cost Management, RBAC, and key vaults.
  • Support operational excellence through proactive monitoring, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee DR and backup implementations including Azure Site Recovery and support isolated environments for testing and compliance.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree required. Preferably in Computer Science or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years focused on building cloud architecture using Azure and AWS.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and managing systems and applications within an enterprise cloud computing environment.
  • Proven expertise in deploying cloud architecture according to the Well Architected Framework, with strong documentation skills.
  • Experience creating and managing technology roadmaps for overall cloud strategy.
  • Expertise in designing and deploying IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
  • Strong background in deploying both relational and NoSQL databases in the cloud.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD with DevOps, GitHub, automation, and orchestration.
  • Proficiency in EntraID, RBAC, subscription management, Active Directory, DNS and private endpoint DNS.
  • Experience with Azure Marketplace, Reserved Instances, licensing, and Azure Cost Management & Billing tools.
  • Experience with Azure Site Recovery (ASR), disaster recovery (DR) strategies, and creating isolated environments for testing, development, and compliance purposes.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking, including subnets, VLANs, VPNs, SD-WAN, Palo Alto firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Experience writing effective PowerShell scripts.
  • Experience with cloud-native tools such as Log Analytics, Application Insights, AWS CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
  • Experience with Azure Resource Templates.
  • Proficient in Azure DevOps services, including Boards, Pipelines, Repos, Test Plans, and Artifacts.
  • Hands-on experience with IaC tools like ARM templates or Terraform.
  • Experience in providing operational support, handling escalations, and ensuring the smooth resolution of complex technical issues in a cloud environment.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices, including implementing role-based access control (RBAC), SPNs and secret key management.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (Angular), RESTful APIs, JSON, and XML formats is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, and/or Puppet.
  • General understanding of Microservices, including Docker and Kubernetes, is preferred.
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines with limited supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Azure and AWS Architect professional certifications are preferred.

 

As required by law, Bausch Health provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in the US. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For this role, the range of starting pay for this role is 103K – 141K annually.
