The Senior Communications Specialist helps develop and deliver internal messaging for our global pharmaceutical organization. This person is responsible for making sure employees across different regions and functions stay informed, engaged, and aligned with the company’s purpose, values, and goals. The role calls for a collaborative communicator who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated setting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage employee communications: write and distribute compelling messages across internal channels to keep employees informed and engaged.
- Lead policy and operational communications: Deliver clear, targeted updates on new policies and company updates.
- Drive program communications: Collaborate on strategies for key HR and engagement initiatives, ensuring reliable global execution.
- Create content: Manage the planning, creation, and distribution of content for internal channels, including intranet, newsletters, emails, town halls, and video messages.
- Support internal events: Plan and promote events such as town halls and office gatherings; manage messaging and provide hands-on support.
- Partner with regional leaders: Amplify global campaigns, support newsletters and change management initiatives
- Contribute to team initiatives: Help develop channel strategy and infrastructure, ensuring consistency and quality in global communications.
- Coordinate and support internal events, leadership communications, and crisis communications as needed.
- Stay current on trends and best practices in internal communications and the pharmaceutical industry.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Communications, Public Relations, Journalism discipline preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in internal or corporate communications, ideally in a global, fast-paced organization within pharmaceuticals or life sciences required.
- Proficiency with digital communication platforms, content management systems, and data analytics tools.
- Demonstrated proficiency in designing and producing engaging graphics to support internal communications content, ensuring visual consistency and effective messaging across all channels.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, adaptable to different audiences and topics.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities with strategic vision and tactical execution.
- Proactive, consultative approach and skill in simplifying complex topics.
- Strong project management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
The range of starting base pay for this role is 92K – 120K. Actual starting pay will be based on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, qualifications, education and location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for participation in either (i) our annual bonus program or (ii) a sales incentive plan.
