[Solta Medical] HR Specialist, Korea (6-month Fixed-Term Contract)

Reporting Line: Senior HR Business Partner, Korea

 

Role Overview
The HR Specialist supports payroll calculations and day-to-day HR operations in Korea, focusing on execution of established HR and payroll processes.
The role works closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure smooth operational delivery during the contract period.

 

Key Responsibilities

Payroll
- Support the monthly payroll cycle, including preparation and calculation of payroll data.
- Process in-house payroll data, including attendance, allowances, commissions, incentives, and one-time payments, in accordance with established guidelines.
- Calculate and review variable pay components, including incentives and commissions.
- Coordinate with external payroll vendors as required.
- Support payroll adjustments, corrections, and off-cycle payments.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and managers.
- Ensure payroll-related activities are completed in line with established processes and timelines.

HR Operations
- Support day-to-day HR operations.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Handle routine employee relations matters and HR-related inquiries.
- Maintain HR policies, guidelines, and internal procedures.
- Maintain HR documentation, employee records, and HR systems.
- Provide operational HR support to business managers on day-to-day HR matters beyond payroll-related topics.
- Support learning and development activities.
- Perform other ad-hoc HR operational tasks as required.

 

Qualifications

Required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in HR operations and payroll-related work within a multinational company.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience supporting in-house payroll processes within a single organization.
- Experience processing payroll data, including variable pay such as incentives or commissions.
- Experience handling day-to-day HR operational matters involving business managers.
- Fluent in written and verbal English.
- Strong attention to detail and solid Excel skills.

Preferred
- Experience supporting payroll or HR-related budget tracking, including actual vs. budget reconciliation.
- Experience working closely with an HR Business Partner on people-related matters.

Contract Terms
- 6-month fixed-term contract.
- Contract extension may be considered based on performance and business needs.
