Provide legal support to Solta Medical Korea on a wide range of matters, including:
- Commercial issues, such as contract review and editing;
- Regulatory compliance issues, such as reviewing promotional and marketing materials, monitoring the regulatory environment for medical devices and ensuring compliance with local laws;
- Contentious issues, such as handling government investigations, adverse events and other legal disputes;
- IP enforcement issues, such as take down of infringers and supporting counterfeits investigations.
Serve as country compliance officer for Solta Medical Korea by, among other things:
- driving a strong ethical and compliance culture across Solta’ s businesses, including training employees and third-party intermediates;
- conducting compliance monitoring, audits and investigations, as and when required;
- implementing ethical and compliance programs, and reviewing and approving businesses’ activities accordingly to internal rules.
Provide legal and compliance support to other Solta APAC affiliates where and as needed.
Qualifications
- At least 6 years of private practice and/or in-house experience including at least 3 years of experience gained within a compliance/auditing function preferred
- Compliance/legal experience in medical device, pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
- In-depth understanding of regulations related to licensing, import, distribution and marketing of medical devices
- General understanding of =competition laws, antibribery laws, labor laws, privacy laws, e-commerce laws, advertisement laws
- Experience handling government investigations preferred
- Experience in law firms preferred
- Healthcare (Device or Pharma) legal and/or compliance experience preferred
- Experience dealing with government authorities and litigation experience preferred
- Good understanding of the Korean compliance requirements for healthcare industry
- Korean bar required
- Good written and oral English
