Reporting to the Senior Director, Steinbach Site Operations, you will be responsible for supporting Enterprise Excellence (EE) initiatives intended to improve all aspects of the site’s activities to align with the strategic priorities and Enterprise Excellence Business Strategy. You will work in close collaboration with internal clients, possess a strong role of influence, ability to impact the site performance, culture and results with EE skills, soft skills, and have strong knowledge on operations and lean. You will work proactively to develop and consolidate the comparative analysis activities and share the best practices that can benefit the site activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Enterprise Excellence transformation within the site to improve efficiencies and output ultimately reducing cost, improving effectiveness of the business processes, elimination of valueless activities, simplification of processes and development of business growth initiatives.
- Support the key processes to increase their speed, flexibility, and efficiency and to attain clear and measurable financial benefits. Reach new performance levels and increase the site’s competitiveness.
- Lead project teams utilizing Enterprise Excellence best practices, methodologies, tools, support change, and ensure expected results and improvements are implemented.
- Teach, train, coach and influence leadership teams and staff to a high-performance organization
- Recommend and/or lead strategic projects that positively impact efficiencies outcomes, analyze business processes, cost structures, and improve overall performance long term
- Set long term vision & strategy with the leadership team
- Coordinate & execute Enterprise Excellence Roadmap
- Connect with Bausch Health community of practices and report KPI & status to Enterprise Excellence program office
- Promote a culture of change and sustainable continuous improvement to reinforce a rigorous practice of Enterprise Excellence methods
- Provide the support and methodology for situations that may arise in the plant and assure sustainable improvements (investigations, new products, increases in volumes, etc.).
- Bring the site to a high level of Enterprise Excellence maturity
- Align with regional leads to standardize corporate Enterprise Excellence initiatives
Position Qualifications
- B.Sc. Degree in Industrial Engineering or in a similar field
- Black Belt certificate in Lean Six Sigma philosophy
- 5 – 10 years of experience in applying Lean principles to drive measurable results.
- Working knowledge of the regulations that govern the pharmaceutical industry is an asset
- Manufacturing experience an asset
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office
- Strong knowledge of project management with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
- Expertise in statistical analysis and in lean methodologies and tools
Additionally, the successful candidate will:
- Be a strong collaborator and work effectively with all levels of employees and handle different levels of technical and business acumen
- Have a high level of initiative and resourcefulness including the ability to seek out and seize opportunities
- Have excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and commitments
- Be able to influence senior management without authority in a matrixed environment while facilitating meetings and leading presentations.
- Have a high level of verbal and written communication skills
- Have the capability to manage multiple tasks
