Shift     :                                             One Year Term, Sunrise (23:30 – 08:00)

General Responsibilities

 

Participate in routine sample testing such as raw materials, finished products, in-process, stability and cleaning validation using various laboratory instrumentation such as HPLC/UPLC and GC by strictly following established analytical procedures and/or compendia methods. The role contributes to right‑first‑time execution, compliance support, and continuous improvement initiatives. Provide support to other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Participate in right the first-time quality control testing using various analytical instrumentation techniques while following strict procedures/guidelines.
  • Perform Lab instruments day of use verification/calibration as per define procedure and identify and troubleshoot minor instrumental and analytical problems.  Maintain Lab instruments in good working conditions.
  • Maintain proper documentation of each task performed into applicable Lab books, worksheets or qualified software.
  • Participate in revising of QC SOP’s and STM’s.
  • Identify out-of-specification or out-of-trend results, report OOS/OOT results to Supervisor/Chemist ASAP and assist in the completion of lab investigation.
  • Ensure compliance with good laboratory practices (GLP), good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in the area of occupational health, safety, and wellness.

 

Education & Experience Requirements

 

  • Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Chemistry or College diploma in Chemical Technology.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical or food industries.

 

Technical and Professional Requirements

 

  • Hands-on experience on various analytical instruments.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian and US cGMP requirements.
  • Strong understanding of computer software programs, including Microsoft Office

Total Rewards

 

The range of starting base pay for this role is $58,368 – $76,608. Actual starting pay will be based on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, qualifications, education and location.
