The Manager, Analytics will provide insights on incentive compensation, targeting & alignments, and help drive informed decisions that will help grow top/bottom line. This position and the team have high visibility and exposure to commercial leadership. You will collaborate with Sales & Marketing to help develop and design compensation strategies and plans to drive sales performance and drive analytical support of sales force alignment, call planning/targeting and incentive compensation functional areas. The ideal candidate will have experience with the use of programming and software to create processes in support of IC and Call Planning and use of territory alignment software such as Javelin Territory Designer, and TerrAlign. Knowledge with data management (ETL process) for staging of data in support of the alignments, incentive compensation, call planning or ad hoc analytics needs, and creation of reports related to call planning, incentive compensation and alignment.
This role is hybrid and will be three days in office in our Bridgewater, NJ HQ. MUST HAVE: Pharmaceutical & IQVIA data experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Help with incentive compensation and alignment initiatives to best optimize key investments of field resources.
- Provide “hands-on” expertise in the application of advanced contemporary approaches to resource optimization and allocation of resources to support the product portfolio. This includes the use of advanced software to implement advanced modeling exercises using econometric and statistical techniques to optimize promotional vehicles.
- Use contemporary data tools and techniques to analyze field performance and recommend resourcing levels.
- Responsibility for creating and overseeing of creation, of quarterly Alignment, Call Plans, Sales Goals and Payouts. For outsourced processes this person will be responsible to work with vendors on business rules, implementation plan and quality control of alignments, CP, and IC related work.
- Experience with all three functional (Call Planning, Incentive Compensation and Alignments) areas is advantageous, but not absolutely required. Candidates with demonstrated success in some, but not all the areas, will be considered if they are willing to develop expertise in all three areas. On the job training will be provided.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years business experience in analytics with experience in Pharmaceutical commercial analytics
- Pharmaceutical experience MANDATORY
- Experience with IQVIA data MANDATORY
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or quantitative sciences (i.e., Econometrics, Statistics, engineering or comparable)
- Demonstrated advanced use of data management and analytics languages such as SAS software or R is expected
- Knowledge of SQL, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, and VBA a plus
