Overview:  Facilitate the Bausch Health Companies Legal department’s efforts to promote an environment and culture of business partnership, through the provision of legal support as part of the in-house legal team for the Salix business unit. The incumbent must be able to thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment and work as an integral member of a team.  Responsible for ensuring internal business and legal alignment on key matters.  Collaborating with management, lawyers and compliance professionals to provide strategic guidance and pragmatic solutions, with an emphasis on partnering with the business on key initiatives for the overall success of the organization. 


We are seeking an individual with the utmost degree of professionalism and integrity, capable of handling a wide array of matters relating to general legal support of a business, including but not limited to, counseling on sales and marketing matters, drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts, advising regulatory and medical teams and other general legal advice to the businesses in furtherance of the both the business’s and legal department strategic goals. Importantly, this role is for someone who has an industrious and self-motivated approach with a desire to develop personally and professionally.   This attorney will work directly with the Salix legal team and be expected to interact with senior business leaders.




•           Provides counsel to marketing, regulatory and medical teams on advertising and promotional materials and regulations, fraud and abuse laws, and business and contract issues in our day-to-day operations

•           Drafts and reviews a variety of commercial contracts, including master services agreements and statements of work; development, licensing and distribution agreements; and supply and manufacturing contracts

•           Provides general legal advice to support commercial operations of the Salix business unit, including working on product launches

•           Other tasks/assignments as required

•           Must be detail oriented and demonstrate excellent organizational skills

•           Strong sense of ownership and responsibility, and a strong work ethic focused on providing excellent customer service; demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and exhibits excellent judgment, is high integrity and solution oriented

•           Able to work independently and under time constraints in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

•           Law degree and bar admission required, with ability to qualify for NJ In-House Counsel admission​​​​​​​

•           Minimum of three (3) (ideally 5) years of relevant legal experience

•           Skilled in drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements and familiar with licensing and royalty agreements

•           Ability to not only analyze complex legal matters, but articulate such matters in a clear and concise manner
