The Information Management team within Commercial Operations provides enabling support and services to functional data users across the Commercial organization to leverage the Company’s data assets to inform business opportunities & risks. This role will serve as the main point of contact for the Commercial organization with respect to data strategy, data governance, and external data partner relationships. The role will also be responsible for the management & oversight of activities relating to support of Commercial Data Warehouse, Master Data Management platform, Omnichannel Marketing and recently launched AI-enable “Customer Insights Engine.”  This position will report to the Director, Commercial Program Management and be based in the Bridgewater, NJ home office with opportunity to work from remote up to 2 days/week.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Serve as primary Data Business Partner for key functional users of the data including, but not limited to, Commercial Analytics, Market Access Analytics, Targeting, Incentive Compensation, Call Planning, Data Science, Forecasting, and Sales Operations.
  • Understand organizational uses of data across functions and sources to provide high quality to support to data user groups.
  • Establish strong data governance process to drive connected conversations and prioritization.
  • Business Owner for Master Data Management platform and Commercial Data Warehouse
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of 3rd party data management partner as it relates to Master Data Management and Commercial Data Warehouse operations.
  • Lead calls with the business and vendor partners to drive appropriate data related outcomes.
  • Serve as point of contact for Customer Insights enhancements and operational needs by managing new data acquisitions and end to end cross-functional activities.
  • Responsible for the communication and change management plan for information management related issues and resolution.
  • Maintain policies, standards, and framework for data governance.
  • Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, consulting with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.
  • Engages with the industry to learn about best practices to help in building excellence customer data,
  • Proactively communicates changes in data sets to all impacted teams.
  • Ensure data quality across all data ingestion.
  • Lead data procurement and onboarding activities for all new data sources
  • Handle coordination of non-personal promotion interaction data ingestion from various Marketing agencies
  • Deliver solutions that cut through multiple data processes (Sampling, Call Plan, Segmentation, Forecasting, Incentive Compensation, Business Insights, CRM, ERP etc.).
  • Manage and lead small teams of external data stewards
  • Manage and track required third-party data access agreements.

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience in Commercial data management for Pharma/Life Science industry.
  • 6 + years of demonstrated data project management in the enterprise landscape to deliver end to end master data, metadata, process, and data asset ownership.
  • Bachelor's required; Advanced degree in Business-related discipline preferred.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Fluency with key pharmaceutical data sources and platforms such as IQVIA, MMIT, 852/867 Wholesaler data, Veeva CRM, and Power BI
  • Hands-on experience with IQVIA LAAD patient level data as well as 3rd party Marketing interaction data
  • Experience in working closely with Marketing Analytics, Market Access Analytics, Incentive Compensation and Sales Operations to support their data needs.
  • Effective communication and organization skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and ongoing projects at the same time.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, PowerPoint, and SQL writing capabilities to investigate the data anomalies across various systems.
  • Successful with attention to detail and adaptability to change.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with values of Leadership, Integrity, Flexibility and Efficiency.
  • Technically independent to drive efficiency in the management of data assets.

 

Preferred Competencies:

  • A proven self-starter with strong hands-on orientation, this candidate will have demonstrated the ability to manage, lead, inspire and develop direct reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and lead high performing teams
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others; Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Refined communication/presentation skills, an ability to work well up and down the command chain internally and externally.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities

As required by law, Bausch Health provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in the US. Actual compensation is influenced by many factors including skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For this role, the range of starting pay for this role is $155k - $185k.
